中国抨击美国领导人关于中导问题的言论

Chinese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday slammed US president’s mentioning of China in his latest remarks concerning his decision to withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.

中国外交部周二猛烈抨击美国总统在他最近关于退出《中程核力量条约》的言论中提到中国。

The INF is a treaty between the US and Russia, and it is unreasonable for the US to point to other countries when it threatened to leave the treaty unilaterally, said spokesperson Hua Chunying at a regular briefing.

中国外交部发言人华春莹在例行新闻发布会上表示，《中导条约》是美俄之间的共同条约，美国单方面威胁退出该条约是不合理的。

China firmly safeguards its legitimate interests and refuses blackmail in any form, said Hua, adding that she hopes the US can "look before leaping".

华春莹表示，中国坚决维护自己的合法利益，拒绝任何形式的勒索。她还表示，希望美国“三思而后行”。

The INF was signed by then US president Ronald Reagan and former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev in 1987, in a bid to halt the proliferation of nuclear and conventional missiles.

1987年，时任美国总统罗纳德·里根和前苏联领导人米哈伊尔·戈尔巴乔夫签署了INF，以阻止核武器和常规导弹的扩散。

The pact worked toward the elimination of short- and intermediate-range nuclear and conventional missiles by both countries.
