in one’s cup 是老式英语，指喝多了(get drunk)。
shiver (动词)哆嗦。这句话的结构是——主语：Will，谓语：reflect, as 引导的时间状语从句，从句中的主语he, 谓语sit, 这时另一个动词shiver就要做非谓语动词处理，现在分词表进行表主动表伴随，后面的介宾短语atop his garron作地点状语。意思是Will哆嗦地骑在他的garron 马上，如此思量着。
must have felt must 表示肯定的推测。have felt表示不是现在才这样想的，而是已经有一段时间持续到现在都是这样想的。

shan’t = shall not, will 表将来时，但是will 带有主观的愿望，shall则是表示客观的，应该。
sth. be the best someone can hope for. …事物还是… 人所能期盼的最好的。有时事情并不如意，可以这样安慰别人或自己：Things aren't ideal, but that's the best you can hope for.事情并不理想，但也只能这样了。

这里的seem是系动词，后边的to do 不定式做表语，主系表结构近似于等式，the lordling的态度= 不听他的意见。不定式前加not表示否定。所以此处不是在seem 前加助动词再否定。
leave sth. out 遗漏掉，不包含。leave nothing out, 双重否定就是不要遗漏了。这句话也可以这么说Don’t leave anything out. 对遗漏加上一个范围加介词of, 例如：I can’t believe that Gao Lin has been left out of the team. 如果恰好某人或某物不在大名单上还可以说leave sb/sth off (sth.) , 这个哥们儿继续说下去，Could you tell me why was his name left off the list?
