大手笔！中国投资2470亿建铁路网 京津冀大城市雏形初现

SHANGHAI - China has approved a 247 billion yuan railway plan to improve transport links between the capital Beijing, the port city of Tianjin, and the neighbouring province of Hebei, part of plans to integrate the three areas into a mega-city.

上海--中国已经批准了一项耗资2470亿人民币的铁路计划，来改善连接首都北京、港口天津和临近河北省的交通，这是将京津冀三地连接在一起成为特大城市计划的一部分。

The National Development and Reform Commission said in an online statement on Monday that the plan will span nine projects that total 1,100 kms (683 miles) long. The projects will be built over the years up to 2030, it said.

本周一，国家发改委在网上一份声明中表示说，该计划将包含9个项目、建成铁路总长1100公里（约合683英里）。据声明表示，这些项目将在2030年前完工。

The current population of the three areas is estimated at around 110 million, and by the time it’s complete, the so-called Jing-Jin-Ji project will span 212,000 square kilometres (82,000 square miles), or more than twice the size of South Korea.

目前北京、天津、河北三地的人口总数估计达到了1.1亿，等到项目完工时，所谓京津冀项目将覆盖21.2万平方公里的国土面积，相当于韩国的两倍大小。
